Verwoven is a stop-motion short film exploring greed, the balance between life and death, and the consequences of disrupting the natural world.

The film follows a hunter whose relentless pursuit of rabbits leads him deeper into an enchanted forest. Unaware that every life is connected by delicate silver threads, he begins cutting them in his hunt, disturbing the natural order. When the mysterious Witte Wief discovers the damage, she restores the balance in an unexpected way, leaving the hunter to face the consequences of his actions.

Combining handcrafted puppets, papier-mâché trees, miniature forest sets, silver thread, and atmospheric lighting, the film uses folklore-inspired imagery and visual symbolism to create a dark fairy tale about nature, karma, and transformation.

Verwoven invites viewers to reflect on the delicate balance of life and the consequences of taking more than we need.
